Use task history and latest responses with Codex
A task is the durable unit of work between WhatsApp, the web panel and the Codex app-server on the VM. You should not need to copy an internal identifier to continue a conversation.
List tasks by meaning
The task list shows a readable title, current state, last activity and a short preview. Internal IDs stay available to the system but are intentionally not the primary user interface.
Open a task and read the latest message
Selecting a task loads its latest Codex response first, followed by the conversation timeline. This makes it possible to resume work without replaying every event from the app-server.
Inspect execution details
The task view groups commands, outputs, tests and file changes into readable sections. Large app-server messages are handled as framed JSON-RPC data rather than assuming one line is the complete response.
