How to use Codex from WhatsApp
WhatsApp is the conversation layer; Codex still runs on the project VM. The account owner links a gateway number, adds authorized senders and then selects a VM and task from the interactive menu.
Link the account gateway number
Each account has its own gateway number. Link it from the WhatsApp section, scan the QR code with that number and wait for the status to change to connected. A gateway number cannot be shared by another account.
Add authorized senders
Add the phone numbers that may send instructions. Only authorized senders can interact with the account; the gateway does not turn every incoming WhatsApp message into a Codex request.
Use tasks instead of copying IDs
The menu lists readable task names, lets you open a task and returns its latest Codex message. Continue the selected task by sending a normal WhatsApp message or an attachment.
Approvals stay pending
When Codex needs approval, the gateway reminds the authorized owner periodically. It does not convert a still-running operation into a fake timeout while waiting for a decision.
